I just sat and re-read this series. I really love this particular one! I like how things aren't perfect and how they're all functioning with a certain level of uncertainty. The "wither and die" thing is present, as is Jack's skittish-ness. (It's interesting how Jack seems more likely to bolt prior to being abandoned on the Game Station and left to the slow path on Earth or all those years than he was when he actually travelled with the Doctor and Rose.) I like that Rose isn't hurt-proof in this fic; it's pretty obvious that if things don't last forever, she WILL be hurt. In fact, there are a lot of ways in which the three of them are really building things up for a major blow down the road. Someone's going to die or move on, and the others may fall apart when that happens. But there's a very carpe diem attitude about things here, and the fact that this is all brought on by the Doctor thinking Jack and Rose were dead after the time bubble incident makes everything make sense here.
Anyway, for the record, if you've ever got the urge to pick up one of your series and write some more, my vote is for this one. I'd particularly like to know how Bad Wolf managed to disolve that Dalek fleet if Bad Wolf never occurred here. Also, and I know this is trivial in the scope of your fic, but is the Game Station still killing contestants?
Thanks for writing this!
