I have to say I liked this series. As for S4 Rose, I wasn't too fond of her either. First I believe that she made that cannon long before the realties started breaking down. She always intened to use it to find the Doctor totally ingoring his warnings about the conserquences if she attempted to come back. I think that is why he left her back in the ALT world, as punishement. I think through the Doctor encouraged Rose's belief of her importance in his life. I think she came to him when he was vunerable and he clung to her like a lifeline and made her more important than what she was and overlooked her flaws. I think that is why I liked this series. She was not painted as this perfect saint the Doctor made her into.The one he constantly compared Martha to. By the way Martha got a raw deal with him because of his devotion to Rose. She deserved better.

Author's Response: She stated quite clearly in canon, in two separate places, that she made the canon before the universes started collapsing, as a way to get back to the Doctor. And once stated, clearly, that it didn\'t work until the stars started going out. Anyone who believes that she only started using it to get to the Doctor to save the universes, or started using it after the stars started going out weren\'t paying much attention to a word she was saying. I believe he also left her there as a punishment, but the poor alt!Doctor got a raw deal stuck with her.
And she did come to him when he was at a very vulnerable moment, and because of that he couldn\'t let go.
