Summary: Inanition is a state of mental or spiritual hollowness, something that Jack Harkness is all too familiar with. Throughout season one of Torchwood, we come to know a Jack that has changed drastically since we last met him. He's harder, colder and meaner.
At the request of several readers of the
Interaction Locations series, I'm trying to give us all glimpses of the Jack we know and love, without re-writing the episodes or altering any major content. In essence, these are the scenes where I imagine Jack's reasons might shine through.

Day One by whochick [Reviews - 4]
There's something about the relationship Jack has with Gwen that provides a fantastic vehicle for seeing things from his perspective and seeing the best in him through Gwen's eyes. Even on her first day in the job, Gwen can tell there is more to her boss than meets the eye - whether he wants her to or not.
